REGIO METROPOLITANO. AIDA

Presented in concert form, Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida is one of this season’s most eagerly awaited appointments, an opportunity to appreciate the more intimate aspects of Verdi’s opera. Maestro Pinchas Steinberg conducts the Orchestra and Chorus of the Regio and internationally-renowned protagonists such as Angela Meade (Aida), Piero Pretti (Radamès), Anna Maria Chiuri (Amneris) and Amartuvshin Enkhbat (Amonasro). The opera is being staged on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of its premiere in 1871 and the 100th anniversary of the death of the tenor Enrico Caruso (1873-1921).
